Edgar is a stand-up comedian and, despite his successful performances, experiences loneliness and everyday melancholy. When he sees his sick ex-wife Eva in the audience during a show, they resume contact after 25 years, meet with their shared children, and spend time together until Eva's health deteriorates and she dies in the hospital while Edgar stands by her.
